Description: It is somewhat the fashion these days for certain of the intelligentsia, even some clergymen, to apologize for the writers of the Scriptures, contending that though they were good men, they shared the beliefs and superstitions of their day. For this reason, so they say, many scientific errors crept into their writings. We declare that this view is not only in opposition to the Scriptures but is, indeed, a gross error. "All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine" (II Timothy 3:16)
